Ganderbal Police Apprehended a Drug Peddler And Seized Contraband Substance From His Possession

Ganderbal, June 05 (PTK):

In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, Ganderbal Police arrested a Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal and Seized Contraband Substance from his possession.

Yesterday, Police Party of PS Ganderbal laid Naka at Beehama for a routine checking. During naka checking one person, upon seeing naka party tried to flee from the spot and was tactifully apprehended by the swift action of naka party and during his personal search, Contraband Charas like substance wrapped in corn husks and concealed in a polythene bag was recovered and seized. The accused disclosed his identity as; Ghulam Ahmad Parra S/O Ghulam Parra R/O Beehama, Ganderbal.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 88/2025, under relevant Sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police urges the general public to come forward with any information related to drug-related activities in the area. We assure complete anonymity of the informants. (PTK)
