Patwari Sudershan Khajuria Arrested by J&K ACB for Accepting ₹15,000 Bribe in Kathua
Jammu February 13 (PTK): The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Sudershan Khajuria, Patwari Halqa Khanpur, Tehsil Marheen, Kathua, for demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹15,000. Khajuria initially demanded ₹30,000 from the complainant to correct a Girdawari entry in revenue records and threatened to alter the records if the bribe was not paid. After negotiation, the bribe was settled at ₹15,000. The complainant, unwilling to pay, approached the ACB, which verified the complaint and registered FIR No. 01/2025 under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. A trap was laid, and Khajuria was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe. The bribe money was recovered, and searches were conducted at his residence and office. Further investigation is ongoing.(PTK).
