Wildlife captures big leopard in Shopian

SRINAGAR PTK :-A leopard was captured in Chitragam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

An official said that a leopard was captured alive by the wildlife department with the help of locals in Kashwa village of Tehsil Chitragam in District Shopian.

A big leopard was roaming in the area from a month and the locals had informed the wildlife department about the movement of the leopard, official said.

Timely action by the Department and the alertness of locals helped to capture the leopard and avoid any mishap, he said.

Locals have thanked wildlife department for their timely action. PTK
