Unidentified Man Jumps Into Jhelum in Srinagar, Rescue Op Underway

Srinagar (PTK) :An unidentified man jumped into the river Jhelum near the Safakadal bridge in central Kashmir’s on Thursday. According to officials, the incident prompted an immediate response from local authorities, including the police and river rescue teams.

Reports reaches News agency Press Trust of Kashmir that, the individual plunging into the river from the Safakadal bridge, a swift rescue operation was launched. Officials, along with local residents and river police, have been tirelessly working to locate and rescue the person in distress.

“The identity of the individual remains unknown at this time, and efforts are ongoing to ascertain his whereabouts,” stated an official spokesperson.
