Two dies, 12 Injured as Sumo rolls down into gorge at Digdole Ramban

 

Ramban, 13 Nov (PTK) : Two persons dies while 12 other passenger ls sustain injuries when the Tata Sumo vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge near digdole ramban here on Saturday morning.

An official told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that the driver of a sumo vehicle bearing registration number Jk03-A-6391 lost control over the speed and fell into deep gorge at Samadhi Morh Digdole area in Ramban, resulting death to two persons and injuries to at least dozen of people.

The Sumo vehicle was its way to Banihal from Jammu when the accident took place , he adds.

All The injured were immediately rushed to District Hospital Ramban and have been identified as Jameela D/o Fayaz a resident of Neel, nasir Khan S/o Arshad Khan a resident of UP Hewa, Aikra, Akya, Ara Bano D/o Fayaz a resident of Neel age, Soib Khan S/o Akhter age, Sohil Khan s/o Irfan Khan a resident of UP, Manzoor Ahmed S/o Bashir Ahmed a resident of Neel, Mst Khaleda begum W/o Fayaz Ahmed a resident of Neel, Ashu, Usman and Arif both are residents of UP.

The condition of Khaleda and Ashu is said to be critical and they have been referred to GMC Jammu.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard. (PTK)
