The Blessed Birth of the Prophet ﷺ – A Universal Guarantee of Peace and Security :Allama Hami
Srinagar, Sep 06(PTK): As part of the series of gatherings organized by Karwani Islami International across the state during the blessed month of Rabiʿ al-Awwal, a spiritually uplifting Grand Shab-e-Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference was held last night at the central institution Jamia Qadriya, Murshid Nagar, Tregam.
According to reports, the sacred assembly was attended by thousands of devotees who spent the night in acts of remembrance, recitations of praise upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and listening to insightful discourses delivered by eminent scholars. In addition to leading scholars from Jammu & Kashmir, several distinguished and recognized scholars from across India participated, shedding light on the immense blessings of the Prophet’s ﷺ birth and inspiring the audience with renewed devotion and love for the Messenger ﷺ.
Delivering the keynote address, Allama Dr. Shaykh Ghulam Rasool Hami, Amir of Karwani Islami International, emphasized that from the earliest centuries of Islam, the Muslim Ummah has consistently organized such gatherings, and this blessed tradition will continue until the Day of Judgment. He further asserted that believers firmly hold that the Prophet ﷺ, by the will of Allah Almighty, is alive in his blessed chamber in Madinah, fully aware of the state of his Ummah. For this reason, true believers continue to draw spiritual blessings from him, a sacred connection that will remain unbroken until eternity.
Scholars present at the event collectively declared that the essence of celebrating Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ lies in preserving the spirit of love, obedience, and gratitude towards the Prophet ﷺ. They emphasized that Allah Almighty sent His most exalted servant and Messenger, Muhammad al-Arabi ﷺ, as a mercy to the worlds, through whom tyranny, oppression, injustice, and ignorance were eradicated. They further noted that the blessed birth of the Prophet ﷺ is not only a source of honor and joy for Muslims but also a divine blessing and a guarantee of peace and safety for the entirety of humanity. They reminded that the Prophet’s ﷺ mercy extends to all creation, and thus, every conscious individual should actively participate in the celebrations of Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ as an expression of faith and devotion.
During the night, around 45 young scholars and Huffaz (memorizers of the Qur’an) graduating from Jamia Qadriya were formally honored with the traditional Dastaarbandi (turban ceremony) and awarded certificates. Addressing the graduates, scholars likened them to luminous stars who illuminate the path of truth, dispelling the darkness of ignorance with the light of knowledge.
In his address to thousands of youth, Allama Hami urged them to pledge adherence to the mission of the Awliya and Sufi saints, and to dedicate themselves to purifying society from vices such as drugs, alcohol, and other destructive practices. He cautioned that estrangement from the Prophet ﷺ is the root cause of moral decline and societal destruction, whereas his blessed birth signifies elevation not only for Muslims but for the whole of humankind.
Earlier in the day, Karwani Islami’s central rally drew thousands of lovers of the Messenger ﷺ from across the state. The rally concluded with the ziyarah (viewing) of the Blessed Hair of the Prophet ﷺ (Mūye Muqaddas) at the central institution, Al-Jamiʿat al-Qadriya, where the gathering culminated in scenes of heartfelt supplication and prayer.
Allama Hami affirmed that Karwani Islami International proudly stands as a steadfast torchbearer of love for the Prophet ﷺ, devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt and the noble Companions, and reverence for the Awliya and Sufi saints.
