State Election Commission Releases Updated Panchayat Electoral Roll Schedule for 2025

Jammu, Oct 29 – The State Election Commission of Jammu & Kashmir, led by State Election Commissioner B.R. Sharma, has released a revised schedule for updating the Panchayat Electoral Roll for 2025.

The draft of the Panchayat Electoral Roll, listed in Form PER-1, will be published on November 11, 2024 (Monday). This marks the beginning of the period for electors to file claims and objections, including additions, deletions, corrections, and transpositions. This period will run from November 11 to December 9, 2024.

To facilitate this process, special camps will be organized at various polling booth locations on November 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and December 1 (Saturdays and Sundays). Panchayat Election Booth Officials (PEBOs) – including Village Level Workers (VLW) and Multipurpose Workers (MPW) – will be present alongside Assembly Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at these sites to assist electors with necessary forms and guidance.

The final stage for resolving claims and objections is set for December 23, 2024, overseen by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). The updated and final Panchayat Electoral Roll will be published on January 6, 2025.
