SMC seals three structures in Srinagar

Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Friday sealed three structures in different parts of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Press trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Friday sealed three structures in different parts of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

An official said that three structures were sealed in Muslim Abaad area of Bemina, Wanabal Rawalpora and on Nalamar Road in Seki-Daafar Srinagar.

He said all these three structures had came in the area without proper permission.

The sealing drive was launched under the supervision of Chief Enforcement Officer, Enforcement Wing of Srinagar Municipal Corporation.(PTK)

In a statement issued here Party President Mehbooba Mufti said the contribution made by late Mirza Afzal Beg in the public life of Jammu & Kashmir would be remembered forever.
 “His contribution in the historic land reforms as revenue minister, which led to equal distribution of land resources among people, has been monumental. People would continue to recall his farsightedness and maturity with which he conducted himself in politics and administration,” Mehbooba said.
Terming late Afzal Beg as a seasoned leader who was not only an astute politician but an equally effective and innovative administrator who ruled the political canvas of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba said his services will be remembered for a long time.
” He was a torch bearer for Jammu and Kashmir who worked all along for the welfare of the people of the State. An astute politician, down to earth human being and a person richly endowed with faculty of wit, humor and satire, ” Mehbooba added.
On the occasion Party General Secretary Dr Mehboob Beg paid homage at the ancestral graveyard of Mirza Afzal Beg sahab at Sarnal, Anantnag.
Those who paid homage include Vice President A R Veeri, General Secretaries G N Lone Hanjura, Nizamuddin Bhat and Chief Spokesperson Suhail Bukhari.(PTK).
