Rs.10 crore disbursed as Compensation among land owners in Public camp at Katli, Samba
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SAMBA, AUGUST 16: For smooth disbursement of compensation of the land acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, district administration Samba on Tuesday organised a special camp here at Katli Panchayat Ghar.
A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anuradha Gupta supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the land owners at Katli acquired for DAK Expressway.
To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. the name of the land owner, quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.

It was informed that 51 owners/beneficiaries were identified and verified during the camp, and the compensation amount was directly credited into their bank accounts. “Rs 10 crore were disbursed among 51 owners as per the nature of land acquired during the land compensation distribution camp” informed an official.
The next public camp for disbursement of land compensation is scheduled to be held on August 20, 2022 at Rehian Panchayat Ghar.
