Pulwama encounter ends with killing of three Al-Badr Militants

Pulwama Dec, 09 (PTK) Three Al-Badr militants were killed and a civilian injured in a gunfight with the joint team o police, army and CRPF in Tiken area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sourcesaid the identity of the slain militants was being established even as they said that they are affiliated with Al-Badr.

They further said that a civilian was also injured during the exchange of fire.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and is said to be stable.

The gunfight broke out after a joint team of Police, Army’s 55 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Tiken.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.

Meanwhile internet services have been suspended in the district as a precautionary measure.(PTK)
