As per the association, it will be unbearable for students to attend school in these warm days as most of the schools have no cooling arrangements and lack basic facilities.
While talking to Press Trust of Kashmir, many parents demanded extension of summer vacations as least for a week as according to them, the heat wave is unbearable for their children.“The authorities should extend summer vacations for at least a week as the MeT department has predicted the higher temperature and humidity in coming days.” said Shakeel, a parent of 7th class students.
However, the officials from school education department have not issued any order regarding the extension of summer vacations.
