Police Naka Party in Tral Makes Drug Seizure, Two Individuals Apprehended

Pulwama, April 17: A police naka party from Police Station Tral conducted a routine check at Buchoo area of the Sub District on Tuesday, and stopped a suspicious individual, recovering cannabis-like substance from his possession.

 

As per the statement issued to Press Trust of Kashmir-PTK, Police said that the person identified himself as Yawar Ahmad Wagay, son of Abdul Rashid Wagay, resident of Soimoh Tral. “Upon searching the individual, approximately 20 grams of a cannabis-like substance was discovered,” they said.

 

The statement reads that, “As a result, a case FIR No. 38/2024 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station (PS) Tral”.

 

“During the investigation of this case, another individual connected to the incident was identified. Mohammad Amin Dar, son of Ab Gaffar Dar, resident of Kewi Pora Marhama Sangam, was apprehended. From his possession, approximately 90 grams of a cannabis-like substance was recovered,” it further reads.

 

A police officer in the sub district has said that further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the involvement of these individuals.
