People of Maraliya Gujjar Basti protested against not getting basic facilities

Jammu, January 16 (PTK): People of Maraliya Panchayat Gujjar Basti protested against not getting development work done by the Rural Development Department and the local Panchayat despite not getting basic facilities. Protesting Hanif Mohammad Hanif, Maulvi Abdul Karim, Shah Wali etc. said that since the Gujjar Basti was built 40 years ago, the situation has been such that the road has not been built. More than 30 families live there and hundreds of them have the facility of drinking water from the canal when the canal is closed, even the cattle are not able to get water. When it rains, it becomes difficult for the common people to come and go through the streets of Gujjar Basti, and the cattle also have to face problems.He said that even though there is a mosque in Gujjar Basti, outside people are not able to reach there to offer namaaz, due to the dilapidated condition of the road. He demanded from the administration that basic facilities should be provided to the people of Gujjar Basti Maraliya.  During this time other people from Gurjar colony were also present.(PTK)
