PDP aims to break silence and end fear among people: Waheed Ur Rehman Parra

Pulwama, 8 April: Senior PDP leader and parliamentary candidate for Srinagar constituency, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra on Monday conducted an election rally at Karmulla village of Tral in South Kashmir, claiming that PDP is aiming to break silence and end fear among people.

While addressing the Gujjar community of the area, Parra said that PDP is the only party, which remained at the forefront for the welfare of Gujjar Bakarwal community across the J&K region.

He said that property tax, power tariff hike, and other issues prevailed after abrogation of Article 370 have given tough time of people, with people even fear to talk, as “every space has been criminalised”.

“People in Kashmir fear to raise their voices, post article 370 abrogation. We are trying to strike a contact with the people of Kashmir, while we need to go to parliament as the former MPs failed to raise the main issues. We are making effort to make people realise that someone is speaking for us,” Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said.

On disintegration of PAGD, Parra said that PAGD was basically formed by the Mehbooba Mufti, as she went to the doors of every leader, and took them out, which had brought the idea of PAGD, and assured that PDP will continue to unite people.

The election rally was attended by Senior PDP leader & DDC chairperson, Syed Bari Andrabi, PDP spokesman & DDC member Tral, Dr Harbakash Singh, PDP zone president Tral, Qutub Din Shah, Latief Bhat, Advocate Zia Ur Rehman, Shahid Amin, Dr PZ Mehraj Ud Din Rafiqi & others.
