Omar Abdullah Welcomes J&K Assembly Poll Dates

Omar Abdullah, Vice President of the National Conference, has welcomed the Election Commission’s announcement of the Assembly poll dates in Jammu & Kashmir. The elections will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1, with the counting of votes on October 4.

Abdullah remarked, “Der aaye, durust aaye” (better late than never), highlighting that this is the first time since 1987-1988 that the elections will be conducted in such a small number of phases. He added that the National Conference was ready for this day and would soon begin its election campaign.
