NYK Udhampur organises Har Ghar Tiranga rallies across different blocks
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 10: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, today organized Tiranga Rallies in different blocks across the district as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The National Youth Volunteers as well as the members of youth clubs motivated hundreds of households to hoist the tricolor on their rooftops under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In Block Ramnagar, NYVs Anil Kumar & Bharti Devi visited Ramnagar Fort and Dalsar Lake to organize Har Ghar Tiranga rallies. The rallies witnessed mass participation of school as well as college students.
In a similar manner, a rally was organized by NYV Naresh Kumar near Baba Basuki Nag Temple, Dudu. It passed through the village where the youth carried tricolors besides chanting patriotic slogans and songs. The Flags were distributed among the rural households in many remote areas to promote the campaign in a mission mode. In Block Majalta, NYV Sapana Devi covered the surroundings of ancient Pandava caves at Manwal where she also held a group discussion on the life and history of unsung heroes of India’s independence.

It is pertinent to mention that the National Youth Volunteers are organizing these activities to instill a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminiscence the contribution of those who tirelessly worked for building the nation.
While briefing the volunteers in a prior meeting, District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta said that our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal.
Bringing the flag collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism and to promote awareness about the Indian National flag.
