Northern railways floats tenders for 50 km Uri-Baramulla track

 

SRINAGAR (PTK): Northern railways is all set to start work on the 50-kilometer Baramulla- Uri sector in Kashmir, for which tenders have been floated, officials said on Sunday.

Chief Area Manager (CAM) Kashmir Railways, Saqib Yousuf Yatoo said hat railways is all set to connect Uri Baramulla with the railways and tenders have floated in this regard.

“It is positive development for the people of Kashmir and will boost connectivity in the region,” he said.

On March 24, Railway Minister AshwiniV aishnaw announced the operation of the country’s first indigenous semi-high speed train on the Udhampur-Srinagar- Baramulla rail route.

The new age train is likely to bei ntroduced by the end of this year.(PTK)
