Northern Army Commander Visits Troops in Rajouri Sector, Reviews Operational Readiness

Jammu, Aug 29: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar visited troops stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) and the hinterland in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri sector on Thursday. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of maintaining comprehensive operational readiness, especially in light of the upcoming three-phase assembly elections in the Union Territory, starting on September 18.

Accompanied by the White Knight Corps Commander, Lt Gen Kumar visited the forward areas along the LoC in the Sunderbani Sector. The purpose of the visit was to review the current security situation and assess the measures in place. The Army’s Northern Command, in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), mentioned that the commander was briefed on the operational preparedness and the synergy between various security forces in the region.

In addition to his review of the forward areas, Lt Gen Kumar visited supporting units and interacted with the troops in the hinterland. He praised the troops for their dedication and urged them to maintain high morale and professionalism to face future challenges.
