NC stages protest against Kulgam killings, several activists detained
SRINAGAR, OCT 23 (PTK): Several activists of National Conference (NC) on Tuesday were arrested from in Srinagar during a demonstration against the Kulgam killings. Scores of NC activists led by the party General Secretary Ali Mohamad Sagar this morning took out a protest march from the Nawai-e-Subah headquarters against the killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.
The protesters carrying placards and banners were shouting Pro-Kashmir and anti-BJP slogans. Soon after the protesters reached near the erstwhile Radio Kashmir station, police swung into action and detained many NC activists and bundled them in the vehicles.
Meanwhile Ali Mohammad Sagar while talking to reporters condemned the civilian killings at Kulgam, saying that Government of India must put an immediate end to the civilian killings here by initiating a dialogue process to resolve the Kashmir issue. (PTK)
