Nation Stands with Families of Soldiers Lost in Ladakh Flash Flood: Amit Shah

NEW DELHI : Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed deep sorrow on Saturday over the tragic death of five soldiers in a flash flood in Ladakh, extending heartfelt condolences to their families.
The incident, which occurred during a military exercise, claimed the lives of five Army personnel, including a junior commissioned officer, when their T-72 tank was swept away by flash floods in the Shyok River near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Nyoma-Chushul area. The mishap took place around 1 am near Mandir Morh, approximately 148 km from Leh.
“I am saddened by the news of the accident during the military exercise in Ladakh. I express my condolences to the families of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in this accident. The whole country is with the families of the brave soldiers,” Shah wrote on ‘X’ in Hindi.
The nation mourns the loss of these brave soldiers and stands united in support of their grieving families.
