Mirwaiz North Kashmir expresses concern over deficiency of staff and defunct linear accelerator machinery at SKIMS

Srinagar 01 Oct 2024 :- Mirwaiz North Kashmir and Chairman Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz J&K Moulana Parray Hassan Afzal Firdousi has expressed concern over the disfunction of Life saving machines ( Linear Accelerater) in the valley’s primier hospital SKIMS.
In a statement Issued here on Sunday , Chairman Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz J&K Moulana Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi quoted The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), a premier tertiary care hospital, is currently facing an unprecedented crisis that threatens the quality of patient care. The crisis has sparked concerns among the medical community and the public, with patients and their families facing increased challenges in accessing timely and efficient healthcare services
Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi reacting to the appeal of a patient complaining the suffering of Cancer patients due to fault in Linear Accelerater machine.
“Linear Accelerater machine in SKIMS soura is defunct from past 12 days due to which cancer patients have been suffering badly” .
Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi has expressed concern over the patients plea and has urged upon the authorities to look into the appeal made before the civil society by the patients.
Wani while applauding the role and untiring work of kashmiri doctors and other paramedical fraternity has appealed the SKIMS Director to look into this grim issue and has hoped for ontime repairing and service of machines and equipments in the service of ailing humanity.
Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi said Director skims is a very capable administrator besides professionally a sound doctor has a capacity to run the hospital according to the aspirations of general public provided he will get the full support from the lG adminstration.
Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi has appealed LG Manoj Sinha to increase the bed capacity of emergency wards and the IC Units of the Hospital to coup with the needs of emergency patients.He urged upon the administration to fill up all the vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff in Skims besides in all hospital of J&K.
