Mirwaiz North Kashmir demands timely completion of 4-lanning of Srinagar- Baramulla National Highway

Srinagar, Aug 04: Mirwaiz North Kashmir and Chairman Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz J&K Moulana Parray Hassan Afzal Firdousi has appealed Central and UT administration to redouble efforts for timely completion of four lanning Srinagar / Baramulla National Highway.

In his Statement Issued today Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi said, “Frequent traffic jams on Srinagar-Baramulla highway irk commuters due to road widening of four-lanning highway. The traffic mess on Srinagar-Baramulla highway at Pattan , Sangrama and Govt Medical College Baramulla is a huge inconvenience to patients as well as commuters.”

“The transformation of the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway and the Baramulla-Uri Highway holds immense significance, not only in terms of transportation but also for the economic development and enhanced connectivity it will bring to the area”, he added

He said that it is extremely difficult to pass their vehicle or ambulance especially during peak hours as passenger vehicles stop there to drop passengers resulting in massive traffic jams…

Travellers along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway found themselves in a traffic chaos as massive jams crippled movement, particularly at Sangrama, Delina, and in the Baramulla town.

Mirwaiz Hassan Firdousi said hoped Central and UT administration will solve this demand at earliest.
