LeT militant arrested in Sopore

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Sopore Police claimed to have arrested one militant of LeT outfit and Arms & Ammunition recovered were recovered from his possession.

An official said that on the basis of specific information regarding the movement of ANEs, on 07 March, Sopore police along with 32 RR and 92 BN CRPF launched a joint CASO in Nadihal area of sub division Rafiabad and uring search operation one militant was intercepted.

He said that the apprehended person on preliminary questioning disclosed his identity as: Firdous Ahmad Wani S/O Ghulam Muhammad R/O Check seri pattan and on his personal search, 01 AK 56 alongwith magazine and 30 live rounds were recovered.

He added that in this context, Case FIR No. 16/2022 U/S 7/25 Indian Arms Act, 13, 18, 38 UA(P)* Act stands registered in Police Station Panzalla and investigation has been taken up.:-PTK
