LAWDA conducts 115th BOCA meeting, lodges four FIR’s against vehicles ferrying illegal construction material
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : The J&K Lakes & Waterways Development Authority has been vested powers under Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 through Building permission Authority, J&K LDA. In this connection the 115th meeting of the Building Permission Authority was convened today on 04.08.2021 in the office LDA of VC, at Miskeen Bagh Office Complex, Srinagar, which include Chief Town Planner of Kashmir, Joint Commissioner (P) SMC, Enforcement Officer LDA, Executive Engineer Lake Division 2nd LDA, Executive Engineer Electric Inspection Division, Executive Engineer UEED Division 1st, Naib Tehsildar (Collector LDA), representatives Executive Engineer PHE Division, Tehsildar North, representative Tehsildar Khanyar, and Law officer LDA as members of the Building Permission Authority were present in the meeting.
The agenda for the meeting was disused threadbare and a total of 63 cases were decided upon by the BPA on merits.
In the meanwhile, the Vice Chairman J&K LDA who is also the Chairman of BOCA has requested the people residing in the local jurisdiction of LDA to apply for proper building permission through its building permission authority, before starting any sort of construction. Moreover 04 FIR’S have also been lodged against the vehicles ferrying the illegal construction material within the jurisdiction of LDA, in the past two days. Pertinent to mention here that the demolition team of the Enforcement Wing demolished an illegally raised hut inside the lake. Construction raised illegally shall be dealt seriously under law & will be demolished.(PTK).
