Kupwara shuts over Article 35-A hearing
Srinagar: Shutdown is being observed in Kupwara against attempts to tinker with Article 35-A of the constitution which bars outsiders from buying immovable property in the state.
Life remained paralyzed in Kupwara in view of the shutdown call issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership.
All shops and other business establishments are closed in Kupwara District while public transport is off the roads.
It is pertain to mention here that the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a bunch of petitions challenging Article 35-A on tomorrow.
