KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED THREE NARCOTIC DRUG PEDDLERS AND RECOVERED HUGE QUANTITY OF CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE

Press Trust of Kashmir | Kulgam :strict Police Kulgam In a major success arrested three drug peddlers and recovered Huge Quantity of contraband substance and other equipments used in this illegal work.

Police party of Police Station Kulgam led by SHO Kulgam Insp. Jazib Mohammad alongwith PSI Abdul Lateef under the supervision of I/C DySP HQR Kulgam Shri. Sheikh Tahir Amin-JKPS established a Naka near Balsoo crossing and during checking one Vehicle (Load carrier) bearing registration number JK18A-1048 was stopped and during checking officers present were able to recover 130 Kg of Poppy Straw like substance, Two Grinding machines, One Digital weighing machine from the possession of three persons whose identity has been ascertained as; Mushtaq Ahmad Mir S/O Ali Mohd Mir, Iqbal Ahmad Ganie S/O Ghulam Mohammad Ganie residents of Buchroo and Reyaz Ahmad Dar S/O Mohd Khalil Dar resident of Brazloo. They were arrested also vehicle, contraband substance and Equipments recovered were seized

Regarding the incident case FIR No. 161/2020 U/S 8/15 NDPS act stands registered in Police station Kulgam and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.

It is pertinent to mention that Kulgam police has launched a full fledged war against anti social elements and will continue unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of social evils within the district. General public of District Kulgam is requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling or any other anti social activity in their vicinity as Drugs are consuming the precious lives and career of our young generation.(PTK).
