Kadfeen demands stern action against GMC Jammu’s microbiology head Hails infected doctor’s dedication, extends support to his family

Srinagar April 2(PTK)Congress leader on Thursday demanded stern action against the the Head of GMC’s microbiology department for endangering the life of a doctor on duty and has asked the government to initiate a thorough probe into the matter.

Kadfeen in a statement issued to PTK, here said that the doctors and the medical staff must be appreciated at all levels for being at the forefront in saving precious lives amid the present pandemic. He added that it is the matter of serious concern that a doctor in the department of microbiology at GMC Jammu was tested positive while discharging his duties and the concerned head of the department strived to present a different picture about the scenario. “The HOD that lied to Media and to the government must be brought to the book. The government must ensure a thorough probe is initiated into the matter and the issue has to be investigated that why when the doctor was working as per the duty roster was declared absent by the HOD microbiology,” said Kadfeen.

He added that it is indeed a very sorry state of affairs due to which the department head of microbiology and his ilk are hoodwinking people amid the current trying circumstances.

Kadfeen said that the doctor and his family infected on the line of duty deserve support and appreciation from all corners of the society and the government must accord him all necessary help at an earliest.(PTK)
