JKCSF urges the govt to make arrangements to keep Mughal road permanently open

Press trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: Notwithstanding the trouble faced by patients and students and employees Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum as urged the Govt to ensure the opening of alternative links to Kashmir, Mughal Road, throughout the year.

In a statement issued here , Chairman JKCSF Abdul Qayoom Wani said that the people of Rajouri and Poonch especially patients and students and back to valley the employees and other business class working in Rajori and poonch are suffering most with the repeated closing of an important highway that links these two districts with the rest of Kashmir valley as the shortest route.

Wani said that the students and employees have to travel over 200 km from Poonch to reach Jammu and then they travel in addition to reach Kashmir which becomes a journey of nearly 500 kms which accounts in economic loss and mental and physicals exhaustion.

Apni Party expresses solidarity with the bereaved family

Press Trust of Kashmir | SRINAGAR : Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday expressed deep shock over the demise of an eminent Islamic scholar and preacher Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed who today passed away at a hospital in Jammu.

In a condolence message issued here, Bukhari expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.

He said Mufti Saheb’s demise has created a huge void in the society as he was a spiritual leader who always inspired the people towards the path of peace and serenity.

“The deceased was a prominent Islamic scholar and a noted orator who during his lifetime always stressed on the necessity of cultivating values of philanthropy, simplicity and modest living among the people,” he said.

He said that his contribution to the society will always be remembered as he is the first Islamic scholar who translated the Holy Quran into Gojri Language besides authoring several other books.

“I pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family, friends and Mufti Saheb’s followers in general,” he prayed.(PTK).
