ITBP personnel Shoots Self After Injuring 3 Colleagues In Udhampur

Srinagar july 16 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR:- Three Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnels were allegedly shot and injured by their colleague on Saturday, at a camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur.

The jawan, who fired at his colleagues, killed himself later.

An official said that Constable Bhupendra Singh shot at his colleagues, leading to bullet injuries to a head constable and two constables.

Injured trio was shifted to hospital for treatment and are said to be stable, he said.

He added that Singh belonged to the 8th battalion of the force and was presently deputed to the ‘F’ company of the 2nd ad-hoc battalion of the ITBP deployed Udhampur.

A court of inquiry has been ordered in this regard and further investigation has been taken up, he said.
