Karnah March 2025(PTK) : – Amidst a severe power outage and extreme weather conditions, the Indian Army and Border Roads Organisation (Beacon) have launched extensive road clearance operations to restore connectivity and provide critical support to the people of Karnah during the holy month of Ramadan.
Given the heightened avalanche risk, these operations are being executed with utmost caution prioritizing safe stretches between SM Hill and Tangdhar. The road from TP to Chowkibal has already been successfully cleared, ensuring partial access while clearance efforts at NC Pass are scheduled to commence within the next 24 hours, subject to avalanche risk assessments.
Beyond road clearance the Indian Army is actively extending humanitarian assistance to the affected population ensuring the supply of essential relief amid freezing temperatures and challenging conditions. The Army remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and alleviating hardships faced by the residents of Karnah.(PTK).
