Police seizes 05 vehicles for illegal mining in Awantipora.

Awantipora,October 18(PTK): As part of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police in Awantipora has intensified patrolling and checking to curb the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals across the Police district.

During routine patrolling at Hatiwara, a police team from Police Station Awantipora, seized 05 tippers allegedly involved in illegal mining activities. Accordingly, FIR No. 240/2026 has been registered at Police Station Awantipora under relevant provisions of law.

J&K Police remains committed to curbing illegal mining and preventing the unlawful exploitation of natural resources. Strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in such activities.

J&K Police appeals to the public to cooperate with the police and report any instances of illegal mining to the nearest police station.(PTK)
