In Last Two Months, Tangmarg Police Arrests 12 Peddlers, Locals Hail Police Efforts

Today: 17 March: In order to make society free from drug menace, Tangmarg Police today continued its operation to control drugs that is being supplied to people and recovered 2.5Kgs of Charas and 8Kgs of Fuki from the drug peddlers.

The peddlers have been identified as Nasir Ahmad Wani S/o Mh Hussain Wani R/o Drooru, Nasir Ah bhat S/o Gh Ahmad Bhat, Latif mir S/o Ali Mh Mir, Mansoor ah deeda S/o Mh Abdullah Deeda Both Residents Katipora Qazipora, Nasir ah Khan s/o gh mh Khan R/o Zespora, javid ah Khan S/o Atta Mh Khan R/o chanpora, Ab Rahman dar S/o Gh rasool dar R/o Gund Khaipora, Parviz ah Dar S/o Mh Ramzan Dar R/o Drooru, Noor Mohammed Sheikh S/o Gh Nabi R/o Kunzer, Mh ishaq S/o Mh Ramzan R/o Yall Pattan, Suhaib Bashir Sheikh S/o Bashir Ah sheikh R/o Chindlora, Farooq ah wahi S/o Mh Hussain Wani R/o Zespora, Farooq Ah mir S/o Gh mohidin mir R/o Zespora.

Police Station Tangmarg has registered 8 FIR’s in last two months against 12 drug peddlers and 3 notorious peddlers were slapped with PSA .

“The peddlers were roaming and operating their drug traps around schools and colleges and exploiting youth which was not tolerable and strict actions have been initiated to curb drug menace in the area”, SHO Tangmarg, Faizan Ahmad said in a statement.

“The youth which were exploited by peddlers will be rehabilitated and counselling will be provided to them”, he added.

Police has also sought support from general public to put complete curbs on the menace of drugs.

Meanwhile, locals have appreciated the efforts made by Tangmarg Police and hoped that these drives would continue in future.
