Immediate relief sanctioned for victims of fire incident at Mehman Mohalla, Anantnag

Anantnag December(PTK) : A fire incident occurred on the intervening night of the 29th and 30th of December at Mehman Mohall Anantnag. As per reports, the fire engulfed 6 residential houses and 3 commercial properties.

Taking cognisance of the event, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag immediately sanctioned relief to the affected families. Further, directions were issued to provide other necessary supplies in view of the cold climatic conditions. The Deputy Commissioner has sanctioned relief to the tune of Rs 25000 for each of the 6 families whose residential premises were gutted in the incident. _It is in place to mention that the relief was sanctioned and disbursed in less than 12 hours of the incident taking place._

The Deputy Commissioner has further appealed to follow all necessary precautions to avert such incidents in the future.:- PTK
