Bandipora, May 30:(PTK)Forest Protection Force Bandipora Saturday afternoon seized 30-ft timber being dumped illegally in forest area of Kudara village in north kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official said that after receiving specific inputs they have seized illegal 30 feet timber in forest compartment No 114 at Dambinara upper belt of Kudara forest block in Bandipora.

Locals alleged that the loot of green gold is rampant in Arin, Dardpora Kudara areas of Bandipora Forest division. They claimed that the higher ups in forest department have failed to act against the erring looters involved in chopping down green trees.

Pertinently, last month Bandipora Police seized a vehicle loaded with illegal timber in Aloosa while the smugglers had fled from the spot. On the same day, police also seized illegal timber from kaloosa village of Bandipora. (PTK)
