Police arrests 03 persons and seizes 03 vehicles in Budgam
Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar October 02: Acting tough against the elements involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police have arrested 03 persons & seized 03 vehicles in Budgam.
A police party from Police Station Chadoora intercepted 02 tippers loaded with illegally extracted soil from Government land at Magraypora Chadoora. Two accused drivers were arrested and both vehicles used in the commission of crime have also been seized. Similarly, Police Station Beerwah seized a tractor which was involved in extraction and transportation of minerals from Nalla Sukhnag and also arrested the accused driver on the spot. All the accused drivers have been identified as Ayaz Farooq son of Farooq Ahmed Darzi resident of Kultreh Chadoora, Mudasir Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Gani Khan resident of Nowpora Pulwama and Firdous Ahmed Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh resident of Sutharan.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and further investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
