High speed internet services may be restored in two J&K districts after August 15
Srinagar, August 11(PTK) The Government has told the Supreme Court that a special committee looking into the issue of internet restoration in Jammu and Kashmir is considering allowing 4G internet access on a trial basis in the Union Territory.
Central government said that 4G access may be given in one district of Jammu region and one in Kashmir and restrictions may be eased after August 15.
Pertinently on Friday Supreme Court had asked the Jammu and Kashmir administration to explore the possibility of restoring 4G services in certain areas.
4G Internet services continue to remain suspended in August since August 05 last year after abrogation of it’s special status besides bifurcation.
Notably students, journalists and business have been suffering a lot due to the continuous restrictions on high speed internet.(PTK)
