Har Ghar Tiranga campaign gains momentum in Kathua
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KATHUA, AUGUST 14: The second day of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign witnessed a series of activities across district Kathua .
At Iconic Atal Setu Bridge in Basohli, a Boat Rally was organised which was flagged off by CEO, Bani Basohli Development Authority Ajeet Singh.
The participants took a round of the Ranjit Sagar Dam Lake holding National Flag in their hands and chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and other patriotic slogans .
Speaking on the occasion, CEO BBDA said, the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign initiated under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to invoke a feeling of patriotism among the citizens, besides promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
Gripped by Patriotic fervor, a mega rally was taken out at the District Headquarters with the officers and officials of District Administration holding tricolour with pride. The rally, after passing through the Shaheedi Chowk, culminated at Mukherjee chowk.

The participants were seen enthusiastically holding tiranga in their hands and the surroundings reverberated with patriotic slogans and songs.
Meanwhile, a record 45 meter long Tiranga was carried out by a human chain from Ramkot to Billawar town, covering a distance of 45 KMs. The people thronged the occasion with zeal and patriotic fervour.
At Basohli, ADC Basohli Tilak Raj Thapa flagged off a rally composed of Bikers and School Students which culminated at Atal Setu Bridge.
The Tiranga rallies were also held in other parts of the district.
Employees of the line departments and institutions across the district also participated in Tiranga rallies, Hoisting of National Flag near recently rejuvenated Amrit Sarovar.
