Gurez residents protest over attachment of medical staff to other areas

Bandipora March 22 (PTK) People of Gurez area of Bandipora protested today aganist the illegal attachments of Medical staff in other areas.

Locals while protesting said that many employees of health sectors whose duty is in Gurez have been attached to other hospitals and there is none to treat patients in this far flung areas

They said thar mang employees are illegally attached in other areas and many employees are absent from their duties then where local patients will go for treatment.

They alleged that in last 18 years these employees are using political power and are missing from their duty but no action has been taken against them.

From years these employees are absent from duties and the poor people of Gurez suffer but who cares, they questioned.

We have brought this issue in notice of concerned higher ups several times but to no avail, they said.

In absence of doctors and other staff, patients are forced to visit other hospitals which takes toll of their time and money, they said.

They requested higher ups to look into the matter and take action against erring officials. (PTK)
