Gunfight breaks out in Kulgam,Third in south kashmir in last 24 hours
Press Trust of Kashmir |Kulgam : An encounter broke out between militants and security forces at Redwani village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
An official said that a joint team of Police, Army’s Ist RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
He said that exchange of fire is going on in the area.

Pertinently, this is third encounter in South kashmir in last 24 hours as on Thursday four militants were killed in separate encounters in Kulgam and Pulwama districts.(PTK).
