Gunfight breaks out in Hyderpora Srinagar

Srinagar, 15 Nov (PTK) : A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Hyderpora area in Srinagar district on monday evening.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF cordoned off the Hyderpora area following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

Meanwhile, Kashmir zone police in a tweet said; “Encounter has started at Hyderpora srinagar. Police & Security Forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolicel “.(PTK)
