Gas explosion in Anantnag school

ANANTNAG, JUNE 15: A gas cylinder explosion in middle school Jafarpora locality of Anantnag district today left a minor, identified as Zian son of Mohammad Ashraf and an elderly woman, Hajira wife of Abdul Ganie, injured. Both have been hospitalised with burn injuries and their condition is stated to be stable.

According to an official, the woman, working as cook in the school, and 4-year-old boy got injured after a gas cylinder exploded apparently to leakage. Following the incident both were shifted to SDH Bijbhera where from they were referred ro SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Reportedly, the woman has received 30 percent burn injuries, while the boy has received 60 percent burn injuries.
