Gantiyar Nai Sarak residents stage protest, demand interrupted water supply

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:  Gantiyar Nai Sarak residents on Monday staged protest and demand regular water and power supply in the area.

A group of people assembled and held a strong protest demonstration against PDD and Jal Shakti Department Srinagar.

The protesters alleged that PDD and Jal Shakti Departments have miserably failed in keeping assurance commitment with the people of providing uninterrupted power and electric supply to the consumers during the ongoing month of Ramadan.

They alleged that PDD is imposing unscheduled and long duration power cuts at the time of Sehri and Iftyar.

“We raised this issue with the concerned authorities but no action has been taken by them till today, which forced us to come on road”, they added.

We have protested several times about shortage of water after that we were assured that you will get supply but on ground they have failed.
