Ganderbal police arrests 02 drug peddlers;

Srinagar February 08: Police in its recent action against drug dealings in Ganderbal has arrested two drug peddlers and seized contraband substance from their possession.

Officers from Police Post Shadipora arrested two drug peddlers identified as Tariq Ahmad Dar resident of Negli Sopore and Abdul Rashid Mir resident of Amargrah Sopore. On checking, Officers have recovered 44 grams of brown sugar from their possession. A vehicle Toyota Etios bearing registration number JK01-5390 used in the commission of crime has also been seized by the officers.

A case FIR No. 18/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal. They have been shifted to Police Post where they remain in custody.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
