Foreign envoys interacted with Mayor, DDCs others in Kashmir

 

Srinagar Feb, 17 (PTK) Foreign envoys who are on two day visit to J&K interacted with Mayor Srinagar, DDC chairpersons, BDC chairpersons, Municipal Council Chairpersons from different parties.

Officials said during meeting with Mayor, DDCs and other and talked about different issues of the kashmir division.

The foreign envoys were briefed on Panchayati Raj and grievance redressal through Back to villages and Block, thus elaborating how the administration reaches the doorstep of people, they said.

They said that the delegation is on a two day visit and is scheduled to meet various groups in Kashmir.

This will be the third delegation visiting the valley to assess the ground situation in the UT after the Cetral Government stripped off the Special Status of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into two UTs—Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Two batches of foreign diplomats had earlier visited J-K in January and February last year after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.

Last year, similar visits took place in the month of January and February. (PTK)
