Forces defuse suspected IED on Srinagar-Bandipora road

Bandipora, 13 June(PTK): Government forces on saturday afternoon recovered and defused an Suspecious IED in Papchan area on Bandipora along the highway.

An official said that the Suspicious substance was planted near Gamroo Lowdara crossing of Bandipora.

Giving details, he said that a patrol party of 14RR recovered the suspicious substance on the highway around 6 am. Soon, they said, traffic movement on the highway was suspended.

A Bomb disposal squad defused the suspicious substance around 01:30 pm without causing any damage following which traffic movement was restored on the road. (PTK)
