Food Safety department organises eat right mela at Udhampur

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR UDHAMPUR, JULY 28: A one day “Eat Right mela/ Walkathon under Eat Right India movement of food safety and standards authority of India(FSSAI) was organised by Department of Food safety , District Udhampur here at Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh  Government Model Higher Secondary School.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Mohammad Syed Khan was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the mela, in presence of President MC Dr Jogeshwar Gupta; BDC Chairman, Balwan Singh; Deputy Commissioner food safety Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta; Dy Commissioner Food safety Jammu,  Madan Magotra and CEO, Arvin Koul.

While addressing the mela, the chief guest appreciated the food safety department for organizing the mela to promote Eat Right Campaign among the youth. He said that the main objective behind this mela was to ensure the safe healthy and sustainable food for all the Indians with the slogan “Sahi Bhojan Behter Jeevan”.

Several government departments participated in the event and set up their departmental stalls.
