Educational institutions to remain shut in sopore

After a brief nocturnal gunfight between militants and government forces at Tujjar area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, authorities have decided to shut down all the education institutes in the town for today.
As per ADC Sopore, all educational institutions across Sopore Sub division will remain closed today as a precautionary measure.
Earlier a joint team of army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF beset the Nowpora area of Tujjer and as per reported soon after the cordon was laid, the militants hiding in the area opened fire upon the forces triggering off a brief gunfight.
Meanwhile internet services were also suspended in the area as per security reasons.
However no exchange of firing was reported from the morning however operation is going on to trace out the militants.(PTK)
