DLSA Rajouri, TLSC Thanamandi, District admin, Tourism Deptt & RDA celebrate World Tourism Day at Shahdara Sharief
RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 27(PTK): The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajouri and the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Thanamandi, in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri, Tourism Department and Rajouri Development Authority celebrated World Tourism Day today at TRC Shahdara Sharief.
The event was organized under the directions of Rajinder Sapru, Chairman, DLSA Rajouri and the guidance of Shama Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary, DLSA Rajouri.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from different stakeholders including judicial officers, officials from line departments, and representatives of civil society.
The programme aimed to highlight the importance of sustainable tourism, preservation of natural heritage and the role of community participation in promoting tourism in Rajouri district.
The programme was attended by Shama Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary DLSA Rajouri; Jyoti Katria, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Rajouri; Bharti Slathia, Chairman TLSC Thannamandi; members of the Bar Association Thannamandi; SDPO Thannamandi; CEO Tourism Department; BDO Thannamandi; Forester Thannamandi; Horticulture Department officials; Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Thannamandi and SHO Thannamandi.
Besides, DDC Member Thanamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir and Sub divisional Magistrate Thanamandi, Abid Hussain Shah also attended the event.
Speakers at the event underlined the significance of tourism as a driver of economic growth and cultural exchange, while also stressing the need for conservation of natural resources and heritage sites. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to fostering awareness among the public about the legal and social responsibilities connected with tourism and environmental preservation.
The programme concluded with a call for collective efforts to promote eco-friendly tourism and to harness the district’s rich cultural and natural diversity for sustainable development. The event was graced by the performances of students and cultural sufi song by Sajid wani.(PTK)
