District Commander HM,other militant killed in Kulgam Gunfight

Killing of Shiraz a big success for us , was involved in recruiting innocent youth into militant ranks & several civilian killings : IGP Kashmir

Kulgam, 12 Oct (PTK): In a big success for security forces, District comander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and other militant have been killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in chawalgam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on friday morning ,the Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said Killing of district commander HM Shiraz Molvi a big success for us , he was involved in recruiting innocent youths into militant ranks & several civilian killings.

According to press trust of Kashmir (PTK), Inspector General of Police said that district commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit Shiraz molvi and other militant Yawar bhat have been killed in chawalgam kulgam encounter, shiraz was active since 2016 and was involved in recruiting innocent youths into militant ranks and several civilian killings.

Meanwhile kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that “Killed militant identified as District commander of HM Shiraz Molvi & Yawar Bhat. Shiraz was active since 2016 & was involved in #recruiting innocent youth into militant ranks & several civilian #killings. A big success for us: IGP Kashmir @JmuKmrPolice”.

Earlier a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG , Army’s 9 RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) following specific inputs about the presence of militants movement in the area.

He adds as the joint team of security forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. In the ensuing gunfight one militant was killed last evening while another was killed on friday morning. (PTK)
