Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Celebrates Holi with Armed Forces in Leh

 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s scheduled visit to Siachen took an unexpected turn due to adverse weather conditions, leading him to celebrate Holi with Armed Forces personnel in Leh instead. Singh arrived in Leh to mark the festival of colors with the soldiers stationed there, spreading cheer and camaraderie among the troops.

Amidst the festive atmosphere at Leh Military Station, Defence Minister Singh applied ‘tika’ on the foreheads of the Armed Forces personnel, symbolizing blessings and gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice. Additionally, he paid homage to the valiant soldiers by laying a wreath at the ‘Hall of Fame’ in Leh, Ladakh, honoring their unwavering commitment to the nation’s defense.

 

As per news agency Press Trust of Kashmir, Addressing the Army personnel, Defence Minister Singh emphasized the significance of Ladakh, stating, “…The land of Ladakh is not common. It is the land of Siachen, Kargil, Bharat Mata… Ladakh represents the national determination.” He likened Ladakh to the capital of bravery and prowess, echoing the valor and spirit of the soldiers stationed in the region.

 

Through his visit and interactions with the Armed Forces, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reaffirmed the government’s unwavering support and appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of the soldiers safeguarding the nation’s borders, especially in challenging terrains like Ladakh.
